The Honda Clarity model was originally a platform for alternative fuel vehicles but in recent years it has been expanded to include hybrid and electric drivetrains.
As of 2019, you can purchase the Clarity with hydrogen fuel-cells, a fully electric-powered drivetrain or a plug-in hybrid that mixes a gasoline engine with a chargeable battery-powered motor.
Amazingly, the hydrogen fuel-cell version boasts a range of 366 miles but you need to fill up at a service station that offers hydrogen or have it delivered to the vehicle.
This range puts it at the top when comparing the range of alternative energy vehicles in the USA as of 2019.
