Back in 2006 when the Honda Clarity first became available it was offered only as a hydrogen-fuel-cell powered vehicle.

Now, the car is offered as an electric or hybrid fuel/electricity car to make use of the charging network that has grown over the last decade.

In 2016 the new Clarity was introduced and although you can still buy the hydrogen-fuel-cell version it is hard to find.

This new vehicle achieves the best range out of any of the alternative fuel vehicles until it was beaten by the Hyundai Nexo in 2019.
