Beaten by the Hyundai Nexo a year previously, this 2020 Honda Clarity was the best alternative fuel car on the market for range.
Originally this model was launched back in 2006 as a hydrogen-fuel-cell model only.
When the designers went back to the drawing board they came back with a much more universally acceptable car that had the choice of 3 drivetrains.
Buyers could continue to choose hydrogen-fuel-cells but now had the option for traditional battery packs and hybrid fuel/electricity instead.
For the 2020 model year, the hybrid version of the Clarity is only stocked in California dealerships but can be ordered online elsewhere.
