2020 Malibu
Since the mid-1960's the Chevrolet Malibu line of cars has been a popular sight on American roads.
The original Malibu was a versatile vehicle that could be bought as a convertible, hardtop, sedan or station wagon.
It was in fact a trim on the Chevrolet Chevelle from 1964 through to 1977 until it finally replaced the Chevelle range altogether.
So from 1978, the Chevelle was finished and showrooms had the Malibu available to buy as a coupe, sedan or station wagon.
Engine choices were a V6 or V8 with a 3/4 speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission mated to them.
The car has come a long way during that time and transformed into the sedan you will see it sold as today in its 9th generation.
This 2020 model is among that ninth generation and is manufactured in various regions around the world including the US and China.
Engine choices are vast but the options are much lower displacement than the traditional ones from the 1960s and 1970s with a view on the economy.
The 2020 version shares its platform with the Buick Regal and the Cadillac XT4 as these brands are all ruled underneath its parent company GMC.
Opening the owner's manual on this page for the Chevrolet Malibu you will find a clickable contents page which makes finding the page you need super easy.
The maintenance sections towards the rear of the book feature diagrams and statistics that make changing parts easy and help reduce running costs and retain the value of the car.
