The Model S is the longer electric car model that Tesla sells and is popular with families as it has an abundance of storage space in both the front and rear trunks.

It stands out from the typical electric car market as being much bigger when you compare it to the Toyota Prius or Hyundai Ioniq.

Compared to the rest of the 2020 Tesla range it is the longest and sees strong competition from the compact crossover SUV Model Y released this same year.

With electric cars being a modern adoption the owner manual's for them are more sought after than traditional fuel-powered vehicles.

This owner's manual on this page for the Model S starts with a large index section that allows you to click the page you need to be taken straight to it.

Before setting off it's recommended that you fully read the sections concerning driving and probably best you avoid the Autopilot functionality until you are comfortable with the controls yourself.

An important note: before charging be sure to read the chapter on page 160 to make sure that you are doing it properly and with the right equipment as this can damage the batteries and reduce the range and their lifespan.

The maintenance section that starts with page 171 is a very good read, especially for owners who are new to the whole electric car evolution.

There are some aspects that are different from traditional cars such as cleaning and maintaining the batteries that should be taken into consideration before potentially voiding the warranty.

Understanding what certain warning lights and what tire pressure to inflate the tires to are also covered in this Model S manual.
