2021 Accent
To replace the Excel model Hyundai introduced the Accent in the mid-1990s as the company's subcompact car.
In South Korea, in the year 2000, the Accent was replaced by the Verna model name instead.
Originally, the car (like many other Hyundai models) was seen as a budget alternative on the market is much cheaper than its competition yet lacking many common features.
Now with the 2021 Accent and the rest of the Hyundai range, it's a serious contender and much sought after as the company has invested massively in their cars and brand.
Sales of this car have climbed almost every year since its introduction and that's especially true for the Chinese region where the car has achieved yearly sales of close to 50,000.
2017 brought in the most recent generation, the fifth, of which this 2021 model is an example.
2021 models are built on the same platform as the Kia Rio and the Hyundai Venue as the two South Korean companies have a joint agreement where they share technology.
Inside the new models is an amazing touchscreen infotainment system dominating the dashboard reducing the number of buttons visible.
To help better understand this new addition of technology the owner's manual has been updated for the 2021 model year and a PDF version of it exists on this page.
