2021 marks the end of the fourth-generation Range Rover which started in 2012.

This fourth generation was a huge step up from the last after the change in chassis design led to an almost 1000lb weight loss.

Most of the engines in the 2021 range are fitted with a mild-hybrid system to capture wasted energy.

By capturing the energy lost during braking the new Range Rover can then use that during acceleration to reduce the reliance on the engine.

You can also find several plug-in hybrid engines on offer with the 2021 model including the P400e.

That P400e has also been added to the Range Rover Velar and Discovery Sport models.

It combines a 2-liter turbocharged engine with a battery pack and electric motor to create a combined 400bhp when needed.

The best plug-in hybrid engine on offer for the Range Rover is quoted as being able to travel over 50 miles on electricity alone.

Topping the engine options is a 4.4-liter V8 for those looking for a high-performance model with less consideration for fuel bills.

The new infotainment system seen in the new Defender has been added to the 2021 model, bringing with it the Pivi Pro operating system.
