Since 2003, the Nissan Murano has offered an attractive mid-size cross SUV option for buyers.

It is built on the same D Platform as the Altima and the Maxima but with a taller SUV-like body.

The 2022 Murano doesn’t have a confirmed price as of yet, but it's estimated to be around $34,000. A 2021 model starts new at $32,810.

This 2022 version won’t bring any significant changes from previous models, remaining not the most exciting model to drive, but also offering excellent exterior and interior quality.

A 3.5L V6 powertrain is powerful enough, though the paired CVT detracts somewhat from what could be a very powerful system.

What a lot of people really love about the Murano is its quiet and smooth ride quality and interior comfort. It’s being offered in 2022 in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum. The estimated MSRP for the top Platinum trim is $46,000.

The 3.5L powertrain delivers up to 260-hp, which is enough for most and the Murano does excel on long trips thanks to its smooth ride and decent fuel efficiency of 28-mpg on the highway.

Its interior is among the best in its class, offering optional soft-leather upholstery on the higher trims, as well as leather door panels, armrests, and dashboard which is also accented with teak wood that brings a dark, classy feel.

An 8-inch touchscreen is standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as SiriusXM and other services. There are plenty of USB ports for charging, and a decent amount of cargo space and storage for personal items.

Its 32.1 cubic feet of cargo space far outpaces the likes of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, for instance.

Nissan is always generous with ADAS features, and the 2022 Nissan Murano is no exception. Standard features include forward collision warning, emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
