2024 Dacia Duster Owner’s Manual

The Romanian car manufacturer Dacia is almost synonymous with affordable, highly competitive offerings, and the Dacia Duster is one of the shining lights in their arsenal. The updated 2024 Dacia Duster brings a much-needed revamp to one of the brand’s bestsellers.

The most significant change expected in the new third-generation model of this B-SUV is the switch from the dated B0+ platform to the more modern CMF-B base architecture—sharing this new platform with already updated models like the Sandero, Jogger, and Logan, as well as offerings from other brands like the Nissan Micra, Mitsubishi ASX, and the Renault Captur.

This switch to the new platform means that the 2024 Dacia Duster will gain around 9 inches (up from the original 170.9-inch length), translating into a roomier cabin and more cargo space. The Dacia Duster is already one of the pack leaders in the sub-compact SUV market segment regarding the extensiveness of its interior room, and this change will extend that lead even further.

The new platform also creates the possibility for electrified setups with light-hybrid trims or possibly a fully electrified plug-in model.

Furthermore, it is not a stretch to expect some modification to the new car’s exterior as the lineup’s most recent facelift was a mid-cycle one that the brand commissioned in 2021—the original second-generation design was first introduced in 2017. We can also expect a move to the brand's new accessory portfolio, including outdoorsy fittings like roof-mounted tents.

The base powertrain will likely remain the turbocharged three-cylinder 1-liter engine from the previous year’s model that is available in both a gasoline-powered variant and a bi-fuel version that uses LPG.
