2021 Renault Arkana Owner’s Manual

The Arkana is Renault’s coupe-SUV crossover model designed to compete in the sportback/coupe space being created by Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi, but at a more affordable price.

The Arkana is powered by either a 1.3L turbo petrol engine with 12-volt mild-hybrid outputting up to 138-hp or a 1.6L full hybrid model outputting up to 143-hp. The hybrid model adds 2 electric motors. These are paired with 7-speed automatic transmission.

The standard exterior configuration includes LED headlights, tinted windows and 17-inch alloys, but the 17-inch alloys look small so it’s a good idea to upgrade to 18-inch wheels.

Keyless entry is standard, along with a 7-inch infotainment screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trim models also feature additional USB ports in the rear, as well as a central rear armrest, added storage pockets and more.

What’s more, the sloping Sportback roof of the exterior doesn’t compromise on rear headroom which means a comfortable ride even for taller adult passengers sitting in the back seat.

The trunk has 18 cubic feet of cargo space, with an additional cubic foot of underfloor space accessible by lifting up the trunk floor. That’s reduced to 16.9 cubic feet on the hybrid model.

Unlike its luxury German counterparts, it isn’t built for speed or performance, but rather efficiency, getting about 40.5-mpg. None of the luxury models can boast that kind of efficiency.

Other features include automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, parking assist, automatic climate control, DAB radio, cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, heated seats and more. Renault also offers styling upgrades with the top trims that add new flair to the wheels.

The 2021 Renault Arkana speaks loudly to those who love the sportback/coupe SUV style but can’t afford the six-figure prices. The range starts from about $33,400 USD in the UK, making it very affordable indeed.
