2022 ES
The 2022 Lexus ES is a premium sports sedan that attempts to be the best in the market at driving smoothly and in comfort. It fails to compete with its major rivals such as the Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class but is nevertheless an excellent car for the price range.
This 2022 model has built upon its predecessor in a number of ways. For the exterior, the headlamps and wheels have been redesigned, helping the new model feel fresh and modern. Inside the cabin, the infotainment systems have been made touchscreen, and are now easier for the driver to access and use whilst on the road. New driver-assistance features have also been added. These include cyclist detection and an updated cruise control system. The emphasis for the 2022 model has been user and experience and comfort, and this is clearly reflected in the new interior.
You’ll have a choice of three engines with the new 2022 ES. Users can choose from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that will produce just over 200 horsepower. Alternatively, a V6 that increases horsepower by 100 can be selected. Or, a hybrid version can be chosen. The fastest model is the standard V6 which will accelerate from 0-60 in around 6 seconds, compared to the 4-cylinder and hybrid’s 8 seconds.
The biggest problem with the 2022 Lexus ES is that it simply isn’t as good as rivals. For instance, the BMW 5-series is faster than the fastest ES model. The rear seats won’t fold, unlike the Volvo S90, which makes cargo space limited at best. And the model is overall uninteresting. So, if you want a car with a personality, you might be better off with a competing model from Audi or BMW. They’ll also be better value for money.
