The Kia Motors brand is a South Korean manufacturer of cars that exports to countries all around the world. Kia was established in late 1944 and is now 45% owned by Hyundai who also build cars in South Korea. You can find owner’s manuals for most Kia models on this page spanning more than a decade.

Cadenza

The Kia Cadenza was introduced to the market in 2009 as the company's full-size car. It shares its mechanics with the Hyundai Azera and was eventually discontinued in 2021 as the company focuses on crossover SUV models instead

Ceed

Originally starting with the name C'eed in 2006, this compact car replaced the Cerato in Europe. It went on to change its name slightly in 2018 to become the Ceed and introduced various other versions including the Proceed and the XCeed

EV6

The EV6 is the Kia version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Genesis GV60. It is classed as a compact crossover SUV and is completely battery-powered, offered in one of two battery sizes and with single or dual motors

Forte/Cerato/K3

Niro

The Kia Niro entered production in 2017 in the UK and 2018 in the USA. It's a subcompact crossover SUV and every model is fitted with some sort of hybrid technology from the Optima model from the same South Korean automaker

Optima

Essentially a rebadged version of the Hyundai Sonata, the Kia Optima is also a mid-size sedan that entered the market in the year 2000. Over the years since its introduction, the car has become a lot more stylish and safety drastically improved

Picanto

The Picanto is the South Korean automaker's city car that was put into production in 2004 to replace the Visto. It has gone through three generations of design change and no boasts autonomous safety features such as automatic braking

Rio

The Kia Rio replaced the Pride and Avella as the company's subcompact car. It is available in a 3 or 5-door configuration and the modern version of the car shares its platform with the Hyundai Accent

Rondo

Originally the Rondo was known as the Carens when it was released in 2006. It is classed as a compact MPV and sales of the model continued in the USA until 2019 with Kia diverting more of their focus to crossover SUVs

Sedona

Outside of the USA the Sedona is more commonly known as the Carnival. It's a minivan that entered production in 1998 and is now in its fourth generation. Underneath the latest model is the same chasses used underneath the Sorento

Seltos

Another subcompact crossover SUV added to Kias range, the Seltos was first put into production in 2019. It sits on the same platform that is used underneath the Rio and Hyundai Accent/Venue

Sorento

2002 saw the introduction of the Kia Sorento, a 7-seat SUV that currently shares its chassis with the Kia Sedona. Inside of the car is a fleet of modern technology including a multi-collision braking system and smartphone connectivity

Soul

The Kia Soul has a unique tall design and the production of the subcompact crossover SUV began in 2008. Various versions of the car exist including a flex-fuel, fully-electric-powered version and many different levels of trim

Sportage

Originally a rebadged Mazda, the Sportage is now an in-house developed compact crossover SUV that shares many of its parts with the Hyundai Tucson. Modern examples also sport a 5 out of 5 stars safety rating from Euro NCAP

Stinger

Built on the same platform as the Hyundai Genesis, the Kia Stringer is a sporty mid-size car. Production of the model began in 2017 and in 2019 the car got a refresh with new features such as a Surround-View monitor and heated seats

Stonic

The Stonic is a subcompact crossover SUV using the same platform as the Rio and Soul. In China the car is known as the KX1 and if you upgrade to the "safety pack" Euro NCAP award the car 5 out of 5 stars based on crash tests

Telluride

2019 saw the introduction of the Telluride mid-size crossover SUV. It went on to win awards right away for being the "world car of the year 2020". It shares its platform and mechanics with the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Sorento

Venga

The Venga is a compact MPV that sits on the same platform as the Soul and the Hyundai i20. It ran for 10 years with production starting in 2009 with no new model to replace it as the South Korean automaker shifts towards SUVs

About Kia

Kia started out producing basic parts for other manufacturers before moving into producing the first domestic bicycle in Korea in 1951.

The company has a range of competitively priced cars on the market in recent years, adopting a no-frills attitude and a cheap price tag.

For example, the Sportage model has been selling record numbers across the world and in Western countries, as an affordable SUV that attracts many family car buyers.

The brand has attempted to take on the executive sedan market with a more up-market model called the Stinger. This car shares similar styling and features as cars from luxury brands but without a hefty price tag.
